UACE: UNEB withholds results of 113 candidates

"In accordance with Section 4 (3) of the UNEB Act, 2021, the UNEB has withheld results of 113 candidates, and will accord the affected candidates a fair hearing before passing a final verdict," Dan Odongo the UNEB, Executive Director made the remarks on Friday during the release of the 2022 UACE exams.

in terms of percentages, female candidates performed better than their male counterparts at the principal level pass (A-E) in Arts (Humanities), Mathematic and Physics. Male candidates were better in Agriculture, Chemistry, Biology, Art and General Paper.

Dan Odongo the UNEB Executive Secretary said in 2022, 345,695 candidates including 173,761 males and 171,934 females appeared for the examination compared to 330,592 candidates who appeared for the examination in 2020.

PLE: Boys outperformed girls last year

PLE was conducted on November 8th and 9th, 2022, with a total of 832,810 candidates registered from 14,153 examination centers. 51.9 percent of the total registered candidates were females and 48.1 percent were males. 583,769 were funded under the Universal Primary Education-UPE program, and 249,041 were non-UPE candidates.
