The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has confirmed that the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination – PLE results will be released this Thursday, January 23, 2025.
The announcement followed a meeting on Tuesday evening at State House Nakasero, where UNEB officials presented a report to the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports about how students performed in the exams.
“PLE 2024 results will be officially released on Thursday, 23rd January 2025, at 11:00am at State House, Nakasero,” UNEB shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.
As usual, the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports will preside over the event, which will be broadcast live on TV, radio, and UNEB’s online platforms.
Students will be able to check their results via SMS and through their schools. Hard copies of the results will also be available for collection from UNEB offices in Ntinda.
A total of 798,763 pupils sat for the 2024 PLE exams, including 419,357 girls and 379,414 boys. Among them, 3,295 were Special Needs Education candidates, with 1,677 girls and 1,618 boys.
