MoH launches vaccination campaign in West Nile region

Part of government’s strategy to contain the spread of the Covid19, the Minister of Health has launched the regional vaccination drive in the West Nile region.

According to Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng the health minister, this is intended to increase uptake of COVID-19 vaccines among the communities in the region. She said the campaign will target all individuals aged 18 years and above.

”Today, We launched the Accelerated Mass COVID-19 Vaccination campaign in West Nile Region. The campaign will target all those aged 18 years and above. I encourage all those who have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19 to visit the nearest vaccination site and get your shot,” Aceng said.

She added: ”Together with the Arua City and District leadership, Arua RRH management and MOH teams, we received the newly constructed and equipped OPD/Casualty complex from Jica Uganda. We appreciate the People of Japan for prioritizing the health of Ugandans and improving service delivery.”
