The Uganda National Examinations Board – UNEB has cautioned school heads, Heads of Examination Centres and the public against conniving with impostors to help them manipulate the grades of their candidates.
“It has come to the attention of the Board that there are some impostors coning Head teachers and School Directors of money, allegedly to either help them improve the grades of their candidates, or remove their schools from the list of those suspected of examination malpractice,” Dan Odongo, executive director of the board said in a statement released Tuesday on X.
This comes amidst speculations that the 2023 Primary Leaving Examinations will be released on Thursday. A total of 749,347 candidates registered to sit for last year’s examination.
